Connect your Claude subscription
This is the step people skip. Skipping it shows up as sessions that will not start.

Why this step exists
The Claude Code that does the work is the standard one, running on your own account and your own usage. We do not buy model quota and resell it, so there is nothing to top up here. But the machine your sessions run on has to be signed in as you, once.
Option one: from the console
You do not need to log in to the machine itself. Start the sign-in in the console. There are two steps:
- Open the link it shows in your own browser and authorize with the account that has the Claude subscription.
- Paste the code from that page into the console. That completes it.
The link carries one-time parameters and expires if it sits too long. If it does, request a new one and repeat. Nothing is lost.
Option two: on the machine
If you are comfortable with ssh, sign in there directly:
# On the server:
$ sudo -iu roamai claude loginIt has to be that user. Sessions run as the service account the installer created. If you sign in as root or as yourself, the sessions cannot read that login. The symptom is a session that will not start, not an error about signing in.
If claude is not installed on that machine, install it first:
$ npm install -g @anthropic-ai/claude-codeNo Claude subscription yet
The subscription has to be on your own Anthropic account. If you have no account or subscription yet, contact us at support@roamai.cloud or on WeCom. The steps you have already completed stay done.
