Get your first session running
Five steps. Four happen in the browser or the desktop app. If you use your own server, there is one command to run on it.

What you need
Three things. Only the second one comes from us.
- A Claude subscription of your own, on your own Anthropic account. Sessions run on that account and use its quota. We do not resell model usage. How to connect it.
- A RoamAI subscription, $9 / month. There is no free plan and no free trial. Signing up is free; opening a workspace is not. See pricing.
- A place for sessions to run: a Linux server of your own. You choose this in the console and can change it later.
Sign in at roamai.cloud with an email code, GitHub or Google. The account is created on the first sign-in, together with a workspace of your own. There is no separate sign-up form.
You can look around the console before subscribing. The subscription is needed to open a workspace, not to sign in.
Subscribe
One plan, $9 / month, priced by how many sessions run at the same time. Everything in the product is in that plan, and there is nothing to compare or pick between.
Billed monthly in advance and non-refundable. You can cancel at any time and keep the current period. Billing in detail.
Choose where sessions run
This choice is only about which machine keeps your sessions running. You can add another machine later, or switch, without losing anything.
- I have a Linux server: run one command on it and it connects itself. No extra charge. How to do it.
- Open one for me: we create a machine and install everything on it. This option is not open yet.
Sign in to Claude on that machine
Sessions use your own Claude account, so Claude Code has to be signed in on the machine that runs them. You can do this from the console: open a link in your own browser, authorize, and paste one code back. Both ways to do it.
Open the first session
On your Mac: open the app, sign in with the same email you used on the site, and start a session against a directory. Pick the folder you would normally cd into, for example ~/code/storefront. The session opens on the machine you connected in the previous steps.
Keep the app open while you work. The server keeps the session for you, but reading and writing files and running commands happen on your own computer, through the app. If you quit the app or the Mac goes to sleep, Claude reports about a minute later that it cannot reach your workstation and stops. Nothing is lost. Open the app again and the session continues.
A session is tied to one directory. Any client signed into the same account sees the same sessions. What you can do with them.
